Ru kiln (汝窑) is one of the five famous kilns of the Song Dynasty in China, located in the city of Ruzhou in today’s Henan Province, and is known for its fine porcelain. The history of Ru kiln porcelain can be traced back to the Northern Song Dynasty, and it is one of the most important representatives of the official kilns of the Song Dynasty. Ru Kiln is famous for its superb porcelain making techniques and unique glaze colors, especially its “Ru Glaze”, which is of high artistic and historical value.
